All of our counselling and psychotherapy services are designed to help individuals to better deal with a wide range of issues, concerns and problems – to help them to reduce stress, and to encourage the development of a more positive, healthy and resilient lifestyle. We support people by using a variety of professionally recognised interventions and our therapists work hard to meet the needs of individuals who are experiencing a wide range of common mental health problems or simply feeling under particular pressure at that point in time.
Counselling is a process that allows you to work through any issues that may be causing you distress or confusion. Our counsellors are all very experienced, professionally qualified, compassionate and non-judgemental in their approach. Their job is to listen, understand and to help you find solutions to your own problems. It can be very beneficial to talk to a professional who will help you to recognise your strengths and capabilities, and who will give you practical, concrete support to deal with your issues and concerns.
All our counselling is carried out in an extremely supportive, caring and objective way. Your counsellor will support you and help you to cope with whatever issues are causing you distress and disrupting your life. Our talking therapies are solution focused, gently challenging you to face your problems, to set realistic goals for yourself so that you can achieve the solutions that you want. As well as stimulating you to work towards your goals, we will help you to identify the resources, strengths, qualities and skills that you have to help you achieve them.
Our counselling and psychotherapy services are open to anyone aged 16 and over but we do reserve the right to not accept some referrals – if they are deemed unsuitable for Brief Solution Focused Therapy.
